PSP INFOS
sony playstation portable

Did you know ?
On the PSP, you can play about all oldies games
you enjoyed on Sega Master System, Sega Genesis Megadrive, Gba Gameboy Advance,
Nes, Super Nintendo (Snes / Super Famicom ), Nec PC Engine Core Graphx
Turbographx, MSX, Apple II, Arcade cabs Amiga, Atari ST, and some more.
In each emulator you can choose the PSP Cpu
speed, which default is 222mhz. You can increase (at your own risk) to 333mhz
but no damage has been reported yet. It just sucks out your battery, so it's
not a problem if you plug your deck.

Alright, everyone! Listen up! This here is a
one-time, big time drop, so you better be quick on your feet to catch them all!
We've got for you NJ's big bash, the latest version (it's now at 2.0.6) of his
*takes a deep breath* CPS1PSP/CPS2PSP/MVSPSP/NCDZPSP.
We told ya it's gonna be a lot. Now, there are a lot of stuff to know about
these sweet peas. Now, Google did a swell job of translating NJ's notes to us,
and for this, we'd all like to bid you good luck. Check out what we mean:
Modification
* Attendant upon the source integration of NCDZPSP, all sources were
rewritten.
* Adding Japanese user interface edition with all emulators. Japanese user
interface edition when it compares with English edition, about 800KB consumes
memory in excess.
* MAME Plus! It corresponded to the command list of type. Please put
command.dat on the same directory as EBOOT.PBP. Furthermore, when the Japanese
command list is used, about 800KB memory is consumed in excess.
* The item which can be set with makefile increases, but UI_BPP32 other than
NCDZPSP the one which it tries not to use is good, is. Compiling is possible,
but memory is not enough and when the game cannot be started occurs.
There. Good luck. Oh, and not to add any further to your agony, but you better
check out the Readme. You know the drill.
Nintendo Gameboy Advance GBA :
choose GPSP
File Description
The great Exophase popped into our forums recently to tell us that he had
released version 0.9 of his GBA emulator, gpSP. This has been called by many
appreciative people as the best GBA emulator for the PSP because of its great
compatibility and consistent performance.
In his post, the dev said that he isn't "terribly impressed with the unofficial
builds of gpSP that exist without my consent." You could read his complete and
exact statements on the forum release thread or on the readme file that comes
with the download. He mentioned that in spite of all the challenges brought
about by some unappreciative people, he still plans on working on the gpSP for
the benefit of the homebrew community.
He also mentioned that he intended to release the emulator by midnight, but
they encountered some problems during beta testing, and of course he needed to
fix them. Anyhow, this version is still in its beta phase. He says that version
1.0 won't be a beta...that is if he releases a version 1.0. Here's an excerpt
of the lenghty changelog for version gpSP v0.9. Be sure to check out Exophase's
insights on the forum thread; and the complete changelog on the readme
file.

Nintendo N64 : choose
Daedalus
It looks like everyone's favorite Nintendo 64
Emulator is finally up with a brand new version. Daedalus R11 is here, boasting
numerous changes and fixes that should improve performance on everyone's
handhelds.
For those who haven't heard of it, Daedalus R11 is a Nintendo 64 emulation
application for PSPs. Using Daedalus, you can play your favorite N64 games on
the PSP, such as The Ocarina of Time and Starfox 64.
In any case, here are the changes for this iteration of Daedalus:
* [*] Large overhaul of rom settings and preferences. All settings should now
be persistant.
* [+] Native support for palettised textures for faster rendering and less
memory usage.
* [+] Provided a fixed size pool for all texture memory, to limit memory
usage.
* [+] Expansion Pak enabled by default.
* [!] Updated rom info database to include save mechanism for many roms.
* [!] Fix memory leak in texture cache.
* [!] Fixed conversion of RGBA/32bpp textures with odd alignments.
* [!] Fix crash which occurred when recolouring textures in low memory
situations.
* [^] Large rewrite of texture cache to reduce memory usage and improve
performance.
* [^] Various optimisations to the way textures are looked up in the cache and
installed.
* [^] Optimise offsetting/scaling of texture coordinates.
* [^] Improve performance of dynarec fragment cache and reduce memory

Strmnnrmn's left three different files for people to use though: Daedalus R11
versions for 1.00 and 1.50+ firmware, as well as the source code for the
release.
As always, feel free to show off your enthusiasm for Strmnnrmn's application in
the comments below, and don't hesitate to drop him a line at his blog if you
wish to thank him personally for another job well-done.

Sega Genesis : choose
DGen
And you thought you'd
never get to play those Sega Genesis games like Castlevania: Bloodlines,
Earthworm Jim and Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master that you spent
countless hours playing as a kid or a teen... or an adult... but that's
entirely beside the point, as syn-z's DGEN for the PSP is back for another run of
good old retro gaming fun.
Hailed by QJ as one of the best emulators around, you know you just have to
download it to find out.
Chagelog according to Babelfish:
* When approximately 20% acceleration
* [in CONFIG] “BGM Speed Fix” addition (is turned to ON, processing becoming
heavy, sound does not become slow.
* However, there is no effect and/or depending upon the game trouble comes
out.
* In addition, at the time of communication opposition it becomes mandatorily
OFF. )
